B&W Film: HER Through My Eyes

We met unexpectedly.

It was random and fast and wonderful – it was a dream.

It was an experience I can only describe as pure, intense love and passion for the first time.

There were no boundaries.

There were no walls.

Instead, there was candor, trust, and devotion.

Still – almost three years later – the same is to be said.

Yet, there is now a quality of maturity.

The next steps of our lives are right around the corner.

Do we move in together?

Does she stay and wait for me to graduate?

So many unanswered questions.

Yet amidst the chaos, I am reminded that she is still the woman I fell so deeply in love with.

She still rolls over in the morning and wraps me up before planting a kiss on me.

She still asks me to turn around when she is brushing her teeth because it is “not pretty”.

She still keeps the shower curtain open sometimes to talk while we are getting ready.

She still holds my attention as if it is our first conversation.

She is still my love.

These never-ending thoughts are what drove me to create this body of work.

With the unexpected showing up more frequently, I wanted to pause and capture the candid moments in my life that I hold so close and adore.

I wanted to keep these moments and these thoughts frozen in time forever.

I wanted to give the smallest glimpse into ordinary life and ordinary things with the one I love.

A simple exploration of her through my eyes.
